How to clean vinyl flooring
Whether you have muddy footprints, spilt drinks or just general dirt build up, cleaning vinyl floors is easy and, thanks to its durability, the great news is all mop types can be used on it. For best results microfibre cotton or cloth mops combined with a bucket & wringer are ideal such as our SuperMocio 3 Action Mop, SuperMocio Micro and Cotton Mop and SuperMocio Soft Mop they ensure floors get a thorough clean.
Remember to wring out your mop well as too much water will result in loose or curled vinyl corners!
Here’s our guide for getting the best results out of your clean:
- Sweep or vacuum floors before mopping for a thorough clean. Our DuActiva Broom collects dirt in one sweep thanks to its bristles and foam layer, meaning nothing will escape and risk damaging your vinyl floors.
- Pick the right mop for the job – a microfibre cotton/ cloth mop with a bucket & wringer such as the SuperMocio 3 Action Mop, SuperMocio Micro and Cotton Mop and SuperMocio Soft Mop, are ideal for cleaning vinyl floors removing greasy stains, dust and marks, but also thoroughly wringing the mop allows you to control the amount of water released onto your floor. It’s important to remember, if your mop is too wet, water can work its way into the seams and edges of your flooring and result in weakened bonds and curled corners!
- For floors that require a little extra elbow grease, opt for a mild cleaning solution. For extra tough scuffs or stains, tackle them with an eraser or cream cleaner applied to a microfibre cloth.
