You have no items in your basket!
We asked, you confessed, and now it’s our turn to reveal all.
That’s right, we recently asked almost 2,000 people about their Laundrycare habits as part of a Facebook Poll*.
From how often they use their washing machine to whether they refer to their indoor dryer as a Drying Horse or Pulley Maid**!
If you’re nosy like us, read on to hear all about what we found out.
But before we get stuck into the confessions, congratulations to Debbie on winning the £150 High Street Voucher for entering the poll.
Now back to the confessions…
Washing and drying
When it comes to using the washing machine, almost half of respondents told us they use it ‘Almost every day – it never ends!’ And unsurprisingly that figure went up to 68% amongst families with children.
Oh dear, that’s a lot of washing! But don’t fear, if that sounds familiar we’ve got just the solution. Our Doble X-Legs Dryer gives you up to 22M of drying space, meaning you’ll have all the room you need to dry your clothes.
Or if you’re more of an al fresco dryer, our SuparDry Hoist Rotary Clothes Dryer is perfect – with 60M of drying space you’ll even have some to spare!
As fairly routine washers ourselves, we were quite surprised that just 5% of people have a set routine for washing. Then again with 40% of people washing 2-3 times a week it sounds like there’s too much washing to do to have a routine.
63% of you told us you either don’t have a Tumble Dryer or if you do you don’t like to use it. Whether you find it’s too expensive, it shrinks your clothes or you prefer to keep it natural – like us you prefer to opt for an indoor or outdoor dryer. For an even smoother finish, try the Vileda Extra X-Legs Dryer with extra thick wires to reduce creasing.
When it comes to ironing, we found you were quite divided. 38% of people living with a partner and/or with children said they iron at least once a week, yet 43% of people living on their own or in a shared house said they only iron on a ‘needs-must’ basis.
If you fall into the latter group, the Vileda Express Smart Ironing Board is perfect – taking up less space and with a 3 year guarantee, it’s ideal for those that only iron on special occasions.
If you take ironing more seriously, try our Premium Park & Go board with non-slip feet, a safety height adjusting feature and a metallic section on the board cover so you can temporarily rest your iron and avoid burn marks.
Last but not least
When it comes to your favourite tasks, we’re pleased to say that 91% of respondents chose a cleaning task over staying late at work. 33% of you would prefer to wash and dry than iron, 19% would rather take the bins out than iron and 18% of you would actually opt for ironing! We’re with you there – what better excuse is there to catch up on your favourite TV shows guilt-free?!
